MAMSS is a professional organization established in 1979 in the State of Minnesota.
MAMSS is an independent, non-profit association for Medical Staff Service Professionals throughout Minnesota. One of the key areas where we serve the medical community is through credentialing of medical providers. Credentialing provides a standard for recognizing the provider qualifications and validating broad-based knowledge of these professionals to ensure quality of health care to those they serve.
In 1980, MAMSS had 32 members. Today, we average over 200 members of medical staff and provider credentialing professionals.
In 1991, the Northern Region of MAMSS was established, followed by the Southern Region in 1994. In 2011, the Central and Metro were organized to enhance opportunities for networking and accessing educational content for MAMSS members while minimizing travel requirements.
