Reappointment

Can a provider be reappointed to the medical staff without a current malpractice insurance? The provider wouldn’t provide any services until they have the insurance in place.

It probably depends on what your bylaws say. Our say their privileges are suspended if they don’t have a current insurance cert on file. So their appointment would still be active (and could go through reappointment) but they couldn’t provide any services until the updated insurance is provided.
